Built on the authoritative federal record

The primary sources, named on every page.

These are the federal agencies whose public datasets Fonteum ingests and attributes — the issuing authorities, not customers or partners. Every figure on the site links back to one of them.

Reproducible by design

Every figure traces to its federal source.

14-tuple provenance

Every rendered fact ties to a source URL, dataset ID, snapshot date, row key, and SHA-256 — the full chain-of-custody record.

Reproducible SQL

Each study ships the exact query behind its figures, run against the cited federal snapshot. Re-run it yourself.

Daily reconciliation

Published counts are reconciled against the upstream federal datasets on a daily cadence, with drift logged.

Trust · Methodology changelog

Every methodology bump, on the public record.

Each row in this changelog is one methodology version bump for one source — the date it landed, the version it moved from, the version it moved to, and a plain-language summary. The log is built directly from the Fonteum snapshot store; entries are auto-generated on publication and refined post-hoc with hand-edited prose.

No methodology changes recorded yet. This page tracks every version bump across every source family. The first row will land the next time a source publishes a snapshot under a new methodology version — typically within one cadence cycle of the source itself releasing.

How to use this page
  • Each entry is an immutable, citeable record of a methodology change — journalists and researchers can pin a citation to a specific version bump on a specific date.
  • For the full Fonteum methodology — sourcing, refresh cadence, claim ceiling, corrections policy — see /methodology. For per-source identity, licensing, and ToS posture see /sources.
  • Entries are also emitted as schema.org BlogPosting items (one per row) plus a DataFeed wrapper for the changelog overall, so AI agents and search engines can read the evolution without scraping the rendered HTML.
